Introduction

There were no books or notebooks in the beginning, pupils had to learn whatever the teacher choose to cover in class. The mode of education has never remained the same and has undergone constant development. After the development of paper and the pen, the process developed gradually until technology became a part of our modern educational system. Students are better able to comprehend and retain the lessons being taught thanks to the use of technology in the classroom.

The Greek word "technology" is where the term "technology" comes from. The words "tekh" and "logy" represent for the subjects of interest and art, craft, and skill respectively. The definition of technology is a platform that can carry out any task in accordance with our requirements. Students will find it easier if technology is added to instruction. Technology today offers a digital platform and has integrated itself into every aspect of our daily lives. We notice the usage of technology everywhere we go. The best illustration of technology's contribution to education is the smart classes that schools have implemented inside of the classrooms. Students today can quickly access a variety of solutions to address a number of questions thanks to the integration of technology into education. There are numerous sites where they can ask questions or schedule live interactions with their professors and teachers.

Since technology is equally vital, it is seen as a new educational subject. It is now an essential component of schooling. Education is now both simple and pleasant thanks to easy access to the internet and other helpful resources. These contemporary devices also conserve time and energy.

Role of Technology in Present Education

1. The use of technology raises the bar for education and makes it much simpler. Today's direct internet connection has made education simple. Students no longer have to wait for the teacher to finish a topic because it has raised the level. On an internet platform or with the aid of various educational apps, pupils can swiftly study or read everything they need.

2. Modern technology is readily available and easy to use, enabling you to educate yourself. Examples include computers, laptops, and mobile phones.

3. People with limited daily time, especially those who work, can benefit from the use of technology in education. Let's say someone wants to work and pick up a new talent to advance or better their career, in which case they can easily enrol in an online course.

4. New technology and software are introduced every day, making life a little easier while also advancing previous technologies.

5. Students use computers to present tests for learning from numerous educational websites and platforms.

6. Using the most recent technology, classrooms are also becoming more sophisticated. Examples include interactive instructional activities, touch boards, tablets, and other smart devices.

Technology industry value is rising steadily and quickly. Every stage of life benefits from technology as it develops, which is good for students and people in general. In addition to computers and technology classes, technology has also become a crucial component of many curriculums.

Role of Technology in Future Education

1. In the near future, even books will be available online, which will lighten the load on students who are attending school.

2. The promotion of digital education would assist in protecting the environment and in reducing pollution brought on by the burning of waste materials.

3. All students will find education to be simple and available.

4. It will support kids' ability to read, learn, comprehend, reason, and act logically. This will contribute to raising educational standards.

5. Students who want to learn through technology will never be constrained by distance.

6. Technology enables us to carry out high-level research projects and pick up new skills.

7. Education should not only take place in books; everyone should have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and experience new things. Since times have changed, so too should the way that education is delivered. Students should have the opportunity to learn something novel and engaging, and technology makes this possible.

Education is now more easily accessible, engaging, and fascinating thanks to technology. In general, pupils dislike going to school, but since the introduction of these intelligent classes, things have changed. In addition to these smart classes, there is a wide range of instructional software and platforms accessible. It fosters creativity in students and promotes learning new things.

Technology is essential in the digital space. New technologies are being introduced to the market every day. Technology is becoming increasingly significant in the field of education. education has undergone a significant transformation. Students rely on apps or platforms to get their questions answered. Parents can save the money they pay the teachers in this method. Education is now simple thanks to easy access to resources like the internet.

Student interest development is aided by technology. With the introduction of the most recent technologies, like smart boards, portable devices like tablets, visual aids, etc., classrooms are becoming more advanced. The environment will be protected by digital education. All students, especially those experiencing financial hardship, will have access to education. Technology is a crucial component of the education sector for a variety of reasons.

Educational Technology Challenges

1. Professional Development: Teachers who need to incorporate new technologies into their classrooms but are unable to do so because they are unprepared for or unfamiliar with these technologies lack access to sufficient, ongoing professional development.

2. Change Reluctance: Teachers and school administrators mistakenly think that learning about new technologies is outside the scope of their duties due to a "comfort with the status quo."

3. MOOCs and Other Innovative Educational Approaches: Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), which are the "new kids on the block" in education, are welcomed because so many institutions of higher learning have already adopted them and had success with them. To increase access to education, schools should seek for methods to include this concept.

4.  Delivering informal learning: Similar to point three above, lecture-and-test learning techniques don't push learners to engage in or put informal learning into practise. In non-traditional classroom settings, such as flipped classrooms, where formal and informal learning are combined and a much more non-traditional approach is taken to the curriculum as a whole, informal learning is more frequently observed.

5. Failures of Personalized Learning: There is a disconnect between the concept of differentiated, individualised training and the technologies readily hand to make it a reality. Although instructors recognise the value of individualised learning, many lack the resources and time necessary to implement it.

6. The inability to give formative assessments using technology effectively: Although testing has always been a significant force behind educational practise and progress, many teachers today "teach for the exam." The skill sets and curricula have changed to meet the demands of our society, and as a result, the testing procedures used today are no longer valid. The new way that students are graded for their comprehension of a topic must take into account modern technologies and our understanding of various learning styles.

There seems to be a challenge with general implementation despite rising technology use. Older educators appear to be ignorant of how modern technology operates. This lack of comprehension is made worse when a younger teacher tries to instruct a student who grew up with that technology. Everybody has seen YouTube videos of young children using iPads, and we've also seen our elders struggle to grasp the concept of what an iPad is and what it can accomplish.

Importance of Technology in Education

1. Technology is important everywhere

Every element of our life, including banking and interpersonal communication, has changed as a result of technological advancement. Working professionals have the chance to improve their education without having to quit their full-time jobs.

2. Students demand it

Technology improves classroom interaction by fostering collaboration among different learning modalities. Today, technology is widely applied in a variety of industries. Technology improves personal education. Access to current information is also beneficial. It makes it easier for kids to study even the most challenging subjects. Artificial intelligence with modern technologies is capable of fostering more creativity.

3. With technology, there are no limitations

The educational landscape has evolved due to technology. Therefore, education is more experiential. Students can get material other than what is in books because there are many internet platforms available. In order to keep students interested in what they are learning, teachers can educate in different ways. Students engage more fully and maintain focus when using technology. The National Math and Science Initiative shown that blended learning approaches increase students' concentration and pique their interest in learning, particularly in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) fields.

Overall, the majority of societal sectors revolve around technology. Technology offers fantastic learning opportunities for students in the educational field. Technology is becoming more and more significant in every industry. Students use technology like computers and cell phones, as well as the internet and different instructional websites, to learn. The primary goal of implementing technology in the classroom is to enhance the learning process for the students.
