Technology has changed scenario of
education, the method and tools used by the students and teachers is been
changed. There was a step by step transformation of teaching learning system by
emerging technology. Now it has become an essential part of modern education
system. Technology has the potential to make education more engaging,
accessible, effective and interesting. However, the technology can lead the
education sector but can not replace human interaction and guidance completely. Introduction To Technology: The term
Technology describes the use of computer-based technology and the Internet to
make information and communication services available to a wide range of users
. The term is used broadly to address a range of technologies, including
gadgets and emerging technology devices. Moreover, the Technology is interlinked
with communication devices that flow data in form of information. Technology
means the way to express technically. In general technology transform data in
various formats like text, images, sound and video. Objectives of Technology Engagement
in Education
Role of Technology in Changing
Scenario In today's scenario, the technology
is the most powerful obsession that can uplift the users or any needy.
Education needs correction in delivering information to the students as the
availability of physical resources is limited, thus the only technology, a tool that can make it possible. To be successful in the future, Education
system have to suitably change their function. They should not rigid to their
traditional teaching method but also introduce new technology within it.
Traditional teaching has some limitations, it bound students and teachers in a
boundary. That time the flow of knowledge was viscous that require time to
spread. The technology accelerated the flow of information/knowledge among the
students. There are many examples that indicate the worth of technology in
education field-
Engaging Technology in
Education provides some merits, they are as under: 1. Easy Access: Available Internet
and Digital Libraries, allow students to access the valuable information and
ease the learning. 2. Increase Interest: Technology
makes learning more interactive and interesting through the use of audio and
visual aids. 3. Adoptive Learning: With the
Technology, students can learn at their own speed and receive personalized
feedback and support. 4. Free Communication: Technology
has improved the way of communication between teachers, students, and parents
through different applications, IT tools etc. 5. Joint Learning: Technology has
enabled students to work together on projects, regardless of their physical
location. Engaging Technology in Education
provides some demerits also, they are as under:
Technology in education has some
challenges also. Some are unavoidable, such as infrastructure and training,
potential for distraction and overreliance on technology and many more.
Consequently, it is necessary to balance traditional teaching methods and inclusion
of technology in education field. Ways of Technology Inclusion in
Education: 1. Online Learning Platforms: Under it one can easily linked and learn the specific
course or study material from all over the World. With the help of
Audio-Visual, Quizzes, Digital Application, the session can be made interactive
and more learning. 2. Gamification: It is a technology employed some game elements and
techniques in non-gaming contexts. It is used in education to engage students
and inspire them to learn. It includes badges, leader boards and points
systems. 3. Virtual Reality and Augmented
Reality: Virtual Reality (VR) and
Augmented Reality (AR) technologies are being used to create immersive learning
experiences. VR allows students to explore new environments and scenarios,
while AR adds digital elements to real-world objects. 4. Personalized Learning: Technology has enabled personalized learning, which
tailors education to individual students needs and abilities. Adaptive learning
systems can analyze student performance and adjust the difficulty of the
material accordingly. 5. Mobile Devices: Smart Phones and Tablets have made education more
accessible and convenient. Students can access learning materials from
anywhere, at any time for anyone. 6. Artificial intelligence: AI-powered tools can be used to personalize learning
and provide feedback to students. AI algorithms can analyze student data to
identify areas where they need improvement and offer personalized
recommendations. Technology is the most powerful
weapon in the World, no one can think further without it. The World is
gradually updating itself by deploying new technology. Even thinking education
sector without it is of no value. Technology has done many things for the world
especially for education in College and Schools. It helps Education institute
in many positive ways, including Virtual Field Trips, Testing tips, Teachers
Resources, Virtual Classroom and Lesson Plan. Reference 1. Kessler Sarah, 2010, http://mashable.com/2010/11/22/ technology-in-education/ 2. Richey,
