Abstract
The present study is related with the documentation of flora diversity in S.G.R.R. (P.G.) College campus. The study is a compilation of the data generated based on regular visits to the campus from October 2021 to December 2021. On the basis of data generation it is found that overall 107 plant species are within the campus. They belong to the group pteridophyta, gymnosperms and angiosperms.
Keywords Flora, Diversity, Campus, Species.
Introduction
Plant Diversity is defined as different plant forms of an area or a landscape (Krishnamurthy, 2003), which are essential for the existence and proper functioning of an ecosystem. It supports different habitats for the survival of small and large fauna. Floristic composition is one of the major distinguishing features of a community or of an ecosystem. Floristic surveys are concerned with an assessment of species composition of vegetation rather than the structure (Pullaiah et al., 2015). By keeping it in mind floristic survey of S.G.R.R. (P.G.) College campus had been done, which a lush green ecosystem is supporting with 107 plant species.
Objective of study
To study the floral diversity of S.G.R.R. (P.G.) College campus, Dehradun.
Review of Literature

Study was conducted on the basis of relevant literature available (Pullaiah et al., 2015; Gaur, 1999, Gupta et al., 2008; Joshi et al., 2016; Radha et al., 2020 & Kamboj, et al., 2021).

Methodology
The botanical survey of S.G.R.R. (P.G.) College, Dehradun campus was carried out in between the period of October to December, 2021, to record and collect the specimens of different plant species present at the campus site. The plants were identified on the basis of relevant literature (Gaur, 1999 & Gupta et al., 2008).

Result and Discussion

Overall 107 plants were identified, out of which angiosperms contributed by 101 plant species (94.39%) followed by gymnosperms 05(4.67%) and pteridophyte 01 (0.934 %) (Fig.1 A). Angiosperms were dominant group of plants and represented by both families dicotyledons (87.13%) and monocotyledons (12.87%). In dicots Euphorbiaceae, Lamiaceae, Rosaceae families were found to the ones with the most number of members. The monocot family is represented by members of Arecaceae (Palmae) and Asparagaceae.
Out of documented species 39 (36.45 %) Shrubs, 33 (30.84%) herbs, 30 (28.04%) trees and the rest 05 (4.67%) were climbers (Fig. 1 B). Each plant species has a specific niche, a specific role and function in anecosystem. Their role include capturing energy, providing food, decomposition of organic matter, Cycling water and nutrients and controlling soil erosion. Plant species support biological production and regulation throughout the food chain in a variety of ways such as adding to soil fertility, pollination, plant growth and waste decomposition (Joshi et al., 2016). So, the diversity is essential for sustaining the natural ecosystems on which human and all life depend.

Findings Total 107 plant species have been recorded which belong to pteridophyte, gymnosperm and angiosperm.
Conclusion
The flora of the college campus is diverse and rich which supports sustainability by maintaining the ecological balance within the campus.
