Introduction
The systematic study of individuals and their actions in a sporting environment, as well as the application of that information, is known as sports psychology. The systematic study of individuals and their actions in a sporting environment, as well as the application of that information, is known as sports psychology. Sports psychologists are aware of the ideas and recommendations that experts may use to support adults and individual nature. The sports psychologists have two goals in mind: (a) to comprehend how psychological factors affect a person's physical presentation; and (b) to compare how participation in sport and other extracurricular activities influences a person's psychological growth, health, and well-being. Sports psychology focuses on increasing performance in order to better manage emotions and reducing the psychological effects of injuries and poor performance. Goal-setting, relaxation, visualization, self-talk, awareness and control, attention, confidence, employing rituals, attribution training, and periodization are some of the most crucial skills that are taught. Personality is described in sports psychology along with how personality impacts athletic performance. The traits that make a person distinctive collectively make up their personality. Sport psychologists and researcher have been interested in personality and the possible implications it might have on sports participation and performance since the late 1800s. The narrowband method in sports psychology can describe personality types and divide them into type A and type B. A person who lacks tolerance for others, is impatient, and exhibits high levels of anxiety. Have a strong drive to compete, a high level of motivation to attain goals, a constant hurry to finish tasks, and a willingness to multitask when faced with severe time limits. People who are more laid-back might also be categorised as type B individuals possess low levels of personal worry, are also tolerant of others, and exhibit higher levels of creativity and inventiveness. Effects of sports performance on type A and type B personality types and effective athletic performance are directly correlated. The personality of a person in the world of sports is known as their sports-specific personality. This comprises personality traits including agreeableness, assertiveness, extraversion, conventionality, self-concept, and emotional stability. Central universities are among the primary choice of higher education for any student in the given course. However, the limited number and location of these institutes limits the enrollment of the aspirants. On the other hand, State Universities are the main source for catering the needs of students for Higher Education. Every year, large number of students gets admission in the B.P.Ed. course conducted by both types of universities. Their training aims at development of their aptitude and sports specific personality for becoming successful teacher in the future. Keeping the importance of personality in professional endeavour in mind, the present study was planned to study about their current personality status and compare it to get the idea about the significance of selection/ training of institute in sports personality development of the future physical education teachers.

Review of Literature

Ajit Kumar Kantilal Parmar,Dr. Trusha R. Desai (2020) The present study has been designed to investigate the Sports  Specific Personality among Sportspersons about their gender and type of game. Total sample of 120 sportspersons (60 Boys and 60 Girls) age range 16-23 years using the purposive sampling technique equally divided gender-wise and as per individual games and team games they played from Ahmedabad and Surat District for Gujarat state. Sports Specific Personality Test constructed and standardized by Dr. Agya Jit Singh and Dr.  H.  S.  Cheema (2010) was used as a tool to collect the data. Statistical analysis Mean, Standard Deviation (S.D), and ‘t’ test was used. The findings of the result show that there was no significant difference in the Sports Specific Personality of Boys Sportspersons and Girls Sportspersons. A significant difference was found in the Sports Specific Personality of Sportspersons playing Individual Games and Team Games. Sportspersons playing Team Games found high Sports Specific Personality than Sportspersons playing Individual Games.

Pampa Barik and Dr. Rajarshi Kar (2019) Conducted a study to compare personality traits among different categories of sports. Data was collected from eighty participants where twenty participants from each group (Invasion games, Target games, Net/Wall games, Striking/Fielding games) were randomly selected. Sports specific personality test by Agya Jit Singh and H.S Cheema was used to assess seven dimensions of Sports Specific Personality Traits such as Sociability, Dominance, Extroversion, Conventionality, Self-Concept, Mental Toughness, and Emotional Stability. One Way ANOVA found no significant difference in Sociability, Dominance, Extroversion, Self Concept, and Emotional Stability but significant difference was found in Conventionality and Mental Toughness. LSD Post Hoc test revealed that Conventionality in Invasion Games was significantly lower than both Target games (p=.000) and Striking/Fielding games (p=.012). The mental toughness of Striking/ Fielding Games was significantly higher than Net/Wall games (p=.004).

Findings The result of the study emanates that there is significant difference on Extroversion and Conventionality between male Physical Education students belonging to Central Universities and State Universities. The mean value of both these variables is significantly higher in the students of state universities in comparison to their counterparts. It may be attributed to the fact that majority of the subjects got admission in the home environment which is good for developing the selected personality variables whereas subjects from Central Universities might have to face foreign conditions in their institute during their training period which may lead to the observed behavior in their personality. The results of the study also depicted that there is no significant difference in the other sports specific personality variables like Self-Concept, Sociability, Dominance, Mental Toughness, and Emotional Stability of male Physical Education students belonging to Central Universities and State Universities. However, the subjects belonging to State Universities Scored better in Self Concept, Dominance and Emotional Stability in comparison to their counterparts. On the other side subjects belonging to Central Universities Scored better than their counterparts in Mental Toughness and Sociability. (Ajit Kumar Kantilal Parmar And Dr.Trusha R. Desai, 2020). Similar findings, Analysis of Sports Specific Personality among Sportspersons. (Pampa Barik And Dr. Rajarshi Kar 2019 ). Similar findings, Comparison of Sports Specific Personality traits among invasion, target, Striking/fielding and net/wall games.
Conclusion
Within the limitations of the present study and findings we may conclude that there is no difference in the personality variables except Extroversion and Conventionality between male Physical Education students belonging to the central and state universities. The bachelor of Physical Education program (B.P.Ed.) is a two-year undergraduate teacher’s training program conducted under the guidelines of NCTE New Delhi, in which, graduate students get similar type of theoretical teaching and instructional mandate for practical classes in different games. The training environment for the teacher’s training course in Central Universities and state universities campuses is followed in the same manner, may be due to this reason, subjects have shown similar pattern in sports specific personality characteristics in the study.
