Abstract
A library management system (LMS) on the cloud is a software application that helps libraries manage and automate their day-to-day operations. This type of system is hosted on the cloud, which means that the software is accessible over the internet, and libraries don't need to install or maintain any hardware or software.A cloud-based library management system is a digital platform designed to help librarians manage their library's collection, patrons, and services in the cloud. It offers a centralized system for cataloging, organizing, and circulating books, audiovisual materials, and other resources.Some examples of cloud-based library management systems include LibraryThing, Koha, and Alma. These platforms are typically web-based and can be accessed from any device with an internet connection, making them convenient and accessible for both librarians and patrons.

Introduction

Catalog Management: The system should enable librarians to create and manage a catalog of library resources, including books, journals, DVDs, and other materials, as well as manage resource availability, check-in/check-out, and hold requests.

Online Reservation: The system should allow users to reserve library resources online, with an automated email confirmation sent to the user and the library staff.

Search and Discovery: The system should provide a user-friendly search interface that enables users to search for resources by title, author, subject, or keyword, with relevant search results displayed based on user search criteria.

Reporting and Analytics: The system should provide library staff with reporting and analytics tools to help them monitor library usage and identify trends, including borrowing patterns, user demographics, and resource utilization.
