It is very difficult to enclose the Magnanimous Personality of Dr. Mano Dutta Pathak in the limits of a single page. He has set an example in the field of Agricultural Research.
He was born on January 1st, 1934. He completed his M.Sc. (Ag) from C.S.A. University, Kanpur in 1955. Completing his Ph.D. IN 1958 from Kansas University, U.S.A. He was awarded an honorary D.Sc. Degree from Pantnagar University in 1993. His fields of specialization are Agricultural Production and Clean Environment improvement of Waste and Law Fertility Lands. Integrated Post Management, Plant & Insect Biodiversity.
He joined Indian Council of Agricultural Research in 1958 as Entomologist. From 1969 to 70. He had been visiting professor at Cornell University, U.S.A. He also served as Director General of U.P. Council of Agricultural Research, India from1989 to 1994. Presently he is holding post of Founding Chairman of Centre for Research and Development of Waste and Marginal Land, U.P., India.
He was conferred with the honour of Borlaug Award in 1973,Distinguished Alumni Award, Kansas State University, U.S.A. in 1992,Leadership in Research & Development, Host Plant Resistance Society, U.S.A.in 1990.
He has written 160 Scientific Papers and Three Books. He developed Ph.D. Degree Collaboration programme between about 30 University from different countries and the International Rice Research Institute. He also developed the first high yielding rice varity-IR 20 having resistance to several pests, diseases and problem soils, which for several years remained the most widely grown rice varity in the word.
He has visited 35 countries to review / develop corporation with their research and crop production programmes. He also organized several International Conferences abroad such as cell and Tissue culture in Beijing China 1981, Rainfed Lowland Rice, Bhubaneswar, India 1984, Education in Agriculture at IRRI, Philippines 1984.
He has been the Chairman of External Panel of Experts, Nairobi, Kenya in 1988, Taskforce Coordinator of U.P. Diversified Agricultural Support Project in 1993, Chairman of Plant Group, Federation of American Scientists, New York, U.S.A. Member of Governing Body, Bhumi Sudhar Nigam, U.P. Chancellor’s (President of India) Nominee for Eastern Agricultural University, Mainpur in 1999. Chairman ,Taskforce for IPM, NATP Government of India, 2000,Chairman, Research Advisory Committee, ICAR, Directorate of Rice , Hyderabad in 2001.

Retired Principal of Mahila Mahavidyalaya, P.G. College, Kanpur. Dr. Asha Tripathi has set an example in the field of social work specially women welfare. She has dedicated herself for education, social work. She was conferred with the award of “Jwell of India” in 2001 “U.P. Ratna in 2009. As a professor of Sociology she has 40 years teaching experience of U.G. and P.G. classes.

She Obtained degree of M.A. and L.L.B. from Lucknow University, Lucknow and Ph.D. from Punjab University, Chandigarh under U.G.C. fellowship. She has supervised many of Ph. D.’s and M. Phill’s, and has published many articles and papers on different Social issues. Her book “Ramayan Mei Rajniti” is under the printing process. As convener/ organizing president, she has experience of so many seminars Workshops and Exhibition on different issues/ subjects. She has contributed a lot in the field of women, Adult Education, Eradication of Fund Infanticide, women welfare specially violence against Women State Women Policy etc.

Presently she is working as Director, Shivlok Shikshan Sansthan, Kanpur. She is associated with Sakhi Kendra / Mahila Manch U. P., Kanpur as President, All India Conference of Intellectuals as Vice-President, Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies, Legislative Council U. P., Lucknow as Executive Member, Bharat Vikas Parishad Kanpur, as Programme Incharge etc.

Mrs. Nandini Upadhya obtained degree of LL.M. in 1988 from AMU and presently working as Acting-Principal of D.C. Law College, Kanpur. Specialization of her fields are “ Hindu Law and Constitutional Law”. She has published papers on Atrocities towards women, tracing Roots of Environmental Normative, Ethics in Ancient Indian Perspectives and Cruelty as a Ground of Divorce under Hindu Law. She has under taken two projects contempt of court and Bar-Bench relationship. She has organized seminars on – New Horizons of Human Right in India, Uniform Civil Code, Public Interest Litigation, Impact of Digital Technology on Legal Profession, A critical study of Service Tax and Awareness of self-employment. She is associated with many NGOs/Societies like Achhik Bureau & Disha.
